As part of the alias, we have only done one backpacking trip which was to Stony Ridge Lake in the Desolation Wilderness in Tahoe. This was an example of what not to do on a backpacking trip and turned out to be a bit of a disaster and we never did this again as part of the alias. However, I go on backpacking trips every year with close friends and this page contains descriptons and photos of some of them. My all time favorite backpacking trip was a 4 day trip in the Grand Canyon with one good friend where we went from the South Rim almost to the North Rim and back deep down in the Canyon. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me on that trip and didn't take any photos. There really is no comparison to seeing the wilderness by backpacking.
